About
John Coulbourn (aka JC) is a professional communications guy and principal author of the IRM blog. John knows there are about 27 million tweets, 1 billion videos watched on YouTube, and 247 billion email messages sent – every single day. He knows his clients need smart communications to penetrate the din.
John has worked professionally in the field of communications for a little over 20 years. He’s worked at top P.R. agencies in Boston, supporting large corporations and smart technology start-ups, some of which became large corporations. He ran worldwide communications at SeaChange and helped the cable TV guys and movie studios market on-demand television. He’s achieved coverage worldwide in publications ranging from BusinessWeek to Yankee Magazine to Dempa Shimbun.
At Boston University, where John got his MS degree in communications, he was a student of a student of Edward Bernays (the father of PR). Two degrees of separation from the papa of propaganda. John has lived in various parts of the world but is a huge fan of the North Shore of Boston. He lives near the banks of the Ipswich River with kids and dogs and a lovely wife.
